Harmony West is a talented author of romantic suspense and mystery novels. She wanted a website to showcase her books and be able to sell signed copies. She tried pre-built layouts, but nothing felt quite right. Challenge accepted.
Our goal was to create a professional, user-friendly platform that worked seamlessly with her social media. It also had to be easy for Harmony to update, giving her more time to focus on writing.
Integrating the website with Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook was crucial for Harmony. Being able to see where most of your traffic is coming from tells where to focus your efforts, saving time and money with marketing.
Developing a user-friendly content management system built for easy updates. “Just fill in the blanks and all of your book pages will look the same.”
With all of the custom post types and templates we went with Breakdance for the build. It’s got fast, lightweight code built to be customized.
Making sure the website was functional, pleasing to the eye, and branded in a way that made her books look at home.

Really it wasn’t anything special, but it seemed like an easy win for us and a huge gain for her.
Social Media Integration: We connected the website with Harmony’s Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook accounts. This integration included live social media feeds and sharing buttons, enhancing her online presence and engagement with readers.
Custom Post Types: We developed custom post types for books, allowing Harmony to easily add new titles, manage book listings, and update content without needing technical expertise.
WooCommerce Setup: By integrating WooCommerce, we enabled the sale of signed book copies directly from the website. The user flow was optimized to allow customers to purchase up to four books in as few as two page views.
Responsive Design: We ensured the website was mobile-friendly, providing an optimal viewing experience across all devices.
The Harmony West Books project was a resounding success. We achieved significant increases in both sales and user engagement. The website not only met but exceeded Harmony’s expectations, providing a platform that effectively showcases her work and facilitates direct sales.
