Long story short, the host had updated the server’s PHP version and the existing theme just wasn’t compatible. The options were to pay the host more monthly to go back to the outdated PHP, or start from scratch with a new site.

The client decided the money was better spent on an update that would actually fix the problem. Once they saw what was possible, the creative vision just kept expanding. The additional content transformed the project scope, requiring a flexible and innovative approach to the web design and any future changes.
